This independent chartered accountancy firm have grown well over recent years and now require an experienced and professionally qualified Senior to join their practice in a new role which will focus on overseeing a range of client assignments and operational aspects of job assignments and a team of staff. This will involve ensuring that planning, supervision, client liaison and staff management are all operating as efficiently as possible, and implementing changes and improvements where necessary to derive greater efficiencies, and overall supporting the managers responsible for the jobs. You will also have the opportunity of being involved in special work, particularly in respect of projects including report writing, due diligence and other corporate finance activity to support transactions as they arise. To be successful, you will need to be ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent and likely have gained experience from within a Top 20 or large independent practice. You will be technically capable, possess well honed staff management skills, strong communications skills and be capable of managing operational aspects including job planning, WIP, supervision of audit and accounts staff and the ability to “drop on to a job” to provide technical and operational input as necessary. This role could suit either an experienced qualified professional who is looking to add value or alternatively, an ambitious accountant with an eye on career progression. Manager and Partner prospects will exist in the medium term for those who are keen to progress their career in this way.
