Our client is a leading independent firms of Chartered Accountants, with a progressive and growth oriented approach. They are now looking to make a strategic appointment of an experienced Manager who will assume immediate responsibility for a mixed portfolio of private limited company clients, covering audit, accounts, tax, payroll, monthly management accounts and ad hoc special work as necessary. You will control all aspects of the portfolio including planning, staff allocation and management, WIP, billings, etc and be the key point of contact for the client . You will report to the Partners and be a senior member of the firm. To be successful, you will have gained an excellent track record of achievement within either a large independent firm or national/top 20 practice and now be looking for a serious career development opportunity. The firm see this appointment as one of the key elements in their future growth strategy and as such, would like to feel that this person appointed will be the next partner within the firm.
The successful candidate will likely be either a chartered or certified accountant, with excellent team management, communications and client handling skills and the ability to develop long term relationships. You will be able to represent the firm at networking events and feel confident in your ability to generate new business, even if you have not had much opportunity to do this to date. You will also have a strong desire to succeed with the ultimate goal being a Partnership in the firm.
