Our client is a dynamic privately owned £8m turnover company in the Asbestos Management & Civil Engineering sector. As a result of the on-going growth of the business, they are now looking for their first full time Finance Director to join the management Board. There is a strategy in place to grow the business aggressively using the platform of some recently won key contracts and the new FD will be a key member of the team who will add significant value on matters including long term strategy planning, financial management, systems, company secretarial matters, etc.You will need to be a natural hands on operator working comfortably alongside other main Board members and to do this, you will need to possess skills including excellent communications; a commitment to team management, motivation and development; Board level negotiation and contract management. To be able to add value immediately, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ideally either ACA, ACMA or ACCA) and possess experience in construction contracting or a related sector (asbestos/civil engineering would be advantageous), gained within either a large corporate or a high growth SME.
