£40,000 to £60,000 plus bonus
Our client is an established training course provider with ambitious plans for growth. As a result, they are now looking to recruit an experienced business development professional, who is keen to join a business at an exciting time in its development and help to shape its future.

The key purpose of this new role will be to enable the company to meet their challenging revenue targets. To do this, you will:
·Develop existing client relationships, to enable a change from a one-off transaction approach to a relationship/account management approach, particularly for high value accounts
·Identify existing and new clients with the potential to become frequent buyers and help the company to become the customer’s first-choice training provider
·Ensure that the necessary processes and systems are in place to enable the company to reach the right people in the right organisations and keep them engaged
·Contribute to decisions about which courses and other ancillary services to offer and assist in decisions as to how best to market these
·Research organisations and individuals using online tools including social media, to identify new training leads and potential new markets
·Attend networking meetings and industry events to help identify new clients and develop relationships with existing ones
·Carry out research on key purchasing contacts and make approaches to them
As this role is new, there will be a lot of scope to make it your own. In order to be successful, you will be/possess:
·A dynamic sales and business development professional, ideally with experience gained in the training sector or within a consultative type selling environment
·The drive and determination to win new accounts and build existing relationships for mutual benefit
·The motivation to work well on your own, managing your own diary and using your time in the most efficient way possible
·Excellent communications skills
·A vibrant personality who enjoys building long term professional relationships with customers and prospects
·Comfortable operating remotely from the head office, with regular reporting regimes
·Proven experience in winning and retaining high value accounts, from diverse sectors
·Experienced in working in a small business, with direct reporting to the owners
·Results oriented and focussed on achieving agreed objectives

The role will cover the whole of the UK and therefore, requires travel on a regular basis.
