Yesterday Dame Kelly Holmes showed why she is more than just an Olympian. Following on from her hugely successful athletics career she went on to create a legacy to inspire others – The Dame Kelly Holmes legacy trust
The trust had invited some of its supporters, sponsors and fund raisers to see just what their work is achieving and to show how more can be achieved.

The trust is committed to getting young lives back on track. World class athletes like Dame Kelly and Diane Modahl work with disadvantaged young people through personal development programmes to inspire and engage them, encouraging them to make positive changes in their lives both emotionally as well as physically. The trust works with employers and services to allow young people the opportunity to visit work places, get apprenticeships, work experience ,interview experience and hopefully employment.
For every pound raised 91p goes to support young people.
Paul Griffiths of Cork Griffiths attended the Manchester event, when asked to describe what he thought about the charity Paul said “inspiring it truly makes a difference”.
